Betsy is available to teach a wide variety of workshops at your studio, health center or other business location.  Contact us for these workshops or to discuss other possible events.  


Introduction to Yoga - 4 hours (1 day and 2 day formats available)
            Learn the basics of yoga postures, anatomy, breathing, and philosophy in this
            light-hearted but thorough introduction to the practice of yoga.
            Appropriate for novices or beginning students - no prior yoga experience required.

Yoga and Aromatherapy – 2.5 hours

Spend some time sampling a variety of therapeutic grade essential oils, understanding their qualities and characteristics, and experiencing their impact on your yoga practice.  An opportunity to purchase oils will be offered if the host facility allows.
Appropriate for all levels – no prior yoga experience required.  Therapeutic grade oils normally do not cause a reaction, but those with a sensitivity to aromas should be cautious.

 

Restorative Yoga Workshop – 2.5 hours

Your body needs deep rest to thrive.  Learn the ideas that form the basis for restorative yoga, and experience the deep, supported rest that each restorative pose provides for your body.  Help bring relief to issues like headaches, neck and shoulder strain, depression, insomnia, and low back pain.
Appropriate for all levels – no prior yoga experience required.


Yin Yoga Intensive – 2.5 hours

Experience this deep hip-opening practice while gaining a complete understanding of the effect of yoga on the connective tissue of the physical body (ligaments, tendons, muscle fascia) and the meridians of the energetic body.

Appropriate for all levels – prior introductory yoga experience helpful.

 

Yoga for Every Body – 2.5 hours

What’s your sticking point?  What is holding you back from enjoying your yoga practice more completely?  We’ll address specific issues and offer modifications for working with injuries and other limitations.  Learn the basics of ayurveda, understanding your body type, and begin to develop your own personal practice.

Appropriate for students with a basic, introductory level of yoga experience.
